The Arab Youth Hackathon

The Arab Youth Hackathon is a regional initiative launched during the 27th Climate Change Conference (COP27) aimed at supporting youth and encouraging them to find effective solutions to environmental challenges. It is one of the largest events in the region, attracting university students, graduates, and entrepreneurs to participate in a three-day competition. During this event, participants innovate by finding effective solutions to current environmental challenges. The hackathon focuses on four environmental themes, within which participants' solutions should align: Water, Climate, Agricultural Sector, and Circular Economy.

The hackathon consists of five separate competitions in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, with winners given the opportunity to present their solutions at the COP28 conference.
